New EDC Weapons for Personal Protection
November 15th, 2024

This week on the Kombativ YouTube channel, I reviewed some of our most popular EDC weapons that could be used for personal protection. Be sure to watch the video to see all these awesome self-defense weapons.
The first everyday carry weapon I reviewed was the Rugged Tactical Knife. As soon as I started reviewing this knife, I realized how much I loved it. Everything from the angle of the blade to the black textured G10 scales made this perfect for tactical use. One of my favorite aspects of it was how the spine of the blade was designed. As you get closer to the tip, the spine of the blade has a swedge (false edge) that gives the knife a sharper tip. As you get closer to the handle, there is some fine jimping for added control as well as a curved thumb divot to allow for better control during utility use. Overall, I thought this tactical knife was perfect. But, make sure to watch the review to see what you think.
The second EDC weapon I tested was the Deluxe Black Pocket Baton. Pocket batons are excellent for EDC because they are so compact, but it's very important that you check your local laws just to make sure you aren't carrying something that is illegal in your area. This deluxe version is different than our standard black Pocket Baton in that it is made to be more heavy duty and durable. It also features a glass breaker on the end, which could be used to escape from your vehicle or as an additional weapon if needed.
The third everyday carry weapon I reviewed was the Modern Tactical Pocket Knife. There were so many things I loved about this knife, and for it's price, I couldn't believe how great it was. The black textured G10 scales were very comfortable to hold onto and the ball-bearing pivot gave the blade a very smooth opening. The blade is made from an 8CR13 stainless steel, which is corrosion resistant, has high edge retention and is easy to sharpen. To see my full review of this high-quality inexpensive pocket knife, be sure to watch my video below.
The final weapon I tested today was the Karambit Comb Knife. I love hidden weapons in general, but it's very important that you check your local laws before purchasing one or carrying one, because some States are very strict when it comes to hidden knives. Perhaps the thing that makes this comb knife so different from a standard Comb Knife is that it has a karambit style ring on the pommel. One of the greatest things about that is that if you are someone who enjoys fidget spinners, karambit pommel rings allow you to fidget with something in a similar fashion. I explain it better in the video, so feel free to watch the video if you are curious.
