Unusual Weapons You've Never Seen Before

Unusual Weapons You've Never Seen Before
This week on Kombativ, we tested out some of the most unusual weapons from the Kombativ.com website. Be sure to watch the video and let us know which one was your favorite.
The first weapon I tested today was the Twisted Blade Push Dagger. Obviously, the most interesting thing about this knife is that it has a spiral type blade. But, the big question that everyone is going to have is "What is the benefit of a spiral blade to a standard knife blade?". I was also curious about how well the steel would hold up. So, in order to see how effective and durable this type of knife is, I made sure to test it out on the wooden wing chun dummy. Make sure to watch the video to see me put the blade to the test!

The second weapon I reviewed and tested was the Black Plastic Knuckle Duster. These were an excellent weapon to test because I wanted to know how durable they were as well as whether they were more effective than using your bare fists. They are made from a very light piece of plastic and are fairly thin, so I thought I would strike the wing chun dummy to put them to the test. In the end, we determined the best way to strike with them and how effective they are, so watch the video to see what you think.

The third weapon I tested was the Tactical Slap Jack. On Kombativ.com, we carry a bunch of different types of slap jacks and various SAP weapons that could be used to incapacitate your attackers. The most common slap jacks we carry are made with leather and have a lead weight in the center, but this Tactical slap jack is made entirely of thick rubber. Because of that, I thought it would be a good idea to test it out a little to see how effective it really is. Watch the video to see it in action.

The last weapon I reviewed was the Hidden Spikes Nunchaku. These hand-machined spiked nunchucks look just like standard nunchaku until you remove the handles, which unsheaths an extremely intimidating steel spike. One thing I want to mention though is to make sure never to actually use these with the spikes out. But, because I am a trained martial artist and I like to test out all the weapons we sell, I made sure to test them out in the video.
