Unusual Weapons for Urban Combat
December 13th, 2024

This week on the Kombativ YouTube channel, we showed off some of the most unusual weapons we carry on the Kombativ.com website. Be sure to watch the video to see all the bizarre weapons.
The first weapon I reviewed was the Military Trench Combat Kama. One of the things I find most interesting about this weapon is that someone chose to manufacture a mashup of a trench knife and a kama, and it turned out really cool! One of the things they did really well when making this weapon was choosing the right steel for the blade. I tested out the 1095 carbon steel blade by striking it and then twisting it in it's target, and it still held up just perfectly. My only complaint with this weapon is how heavy it is. At approximately 1 pound, 11 ounces, it is definitely a bit heavy to be swinging around, but that's to be expected with the solid brass handguard and thick steel blade.
The second weapon I tested was the Eagle Claw Pizza Axe. This version of the Viking Pizza Cutter Axe features a very thick 1075 carbon steel blade, with a beautiful eagle etched into the blade. One thing that is also interesting about this axe is that it is extremely heavy, but the bulk of the weight is in it's blade. However, because of the size and shape of the handle, it doesn't feel overwhelming to swing or use to cut food.
The third weapon I reviewed was the Rugged Combat Knuckle Knife. I've reviewed this knife on video before, and one of the things I loved about it was that it is extremely inexpensive for how well it is made. Another aspect that I think is interesting is that unlike other knuckle knives, you put your fingers through the blade in order to use it as a knuckle duster. Of course I found that it was important to test it out as both a knuckle duster and a knife, so make sure to watch the video to see how well it held up.
The final weapon I reviewed was the Removable Spike Spear Staff. A while back, we released the Stainless Steel Spear Staff, which was extremely well received. The only suggestion people gave us to improve on it would be to allow the spiked tips to be removed and swapped out for standard bo staff end caps. So, that is what we did! Make sure to watch the video to see my full review of this weapon.
