This all black anodized steel claw knife has an innovative design that uses the sheath to give you a defensive weapon as soon as it touches your fingers.
Most karambits have a fixed blade, or use a spring to assist with the opening. This knife design doesn't need such springs. The sheath has a slit opening that manually releases the knife blade into a locked open position the moment you pull it out. The black sheath can facilitate this open over and over again without complaints. That's because it is made of Kydex, which is a nylon fiber composite that is stronger than fiberglass. Having the sheath attached to your waist with the adjustable belt clip means you'll have this karambit claw knife available when you need it.
Not having a spring assistance mechanism reduces the weight of this combat knife significantly. You can easily open the 2.5-inch sharpened blade by hand, though not as fast as with the sheath release system. The blade is crafted of 8Cr13Mov steel, which is extremely tough and will keep the fine edge sharp for many moons. The black handle is also made of modern material, named G10, which is a thermoplastic composite that is resistant to wear of tear of virtually any kind.
