Deadly Weapons You Didn't Know Existed

Deadly Weapons You Didn't Know Existed
This week on the Kombativ YouTube channel, I tested out some of our more unusual weapons like the Hidden Icepick Escrima and the Brass Tiger Claws. Make sure to watch the video to see what other weapons I chose.
The first weapon I reviewed was the Hidden Icepick Escrima. As I mentioned in the video, I am a little biased towards this weapon because we do manufacture it at our Kombativ headquarters in the United States. This hidden weapon looks like a standard escrima stick, but when you unscrew the handle, out comes a steel icepick. So, what's great about that is that you get two weapons in one. You can use the escrima for blunt force self-defense and the icepick for piercing if necessary.

The second weapon I tested were the Brass Tiger Claws. I've shown these off in previous videos, and one of the things I like most about them is that they can be incorporated into many martial arts styles. For instance, there are many forms and techniques in various martial arts that could be improved or expanded with the addition of these claws. They are made from a solid brass and have 4 long spikes per knuckle. Be sure to watch the video to see my full review of these claws.

The third weapon I reviewed was the Dark Reaper OTF Knife. For those of you who don't know, OTF stands for "Out the Front" and refers to an automatic knife that deploys the blade from the front of the knife at the click of a button. This specific OTF knife is unique in that it features an etched pewter grim reaper on the handle. The handle itself is made from a very heavy duty zinc aluminum, so this knife is sure to hold up to some abuse. Watch the video to see my full review.

The last weapon I tested was the Short Tactical Naginata. When I reviewed this weapon, I was a little bit conflicted, because it had some things I liked about it and some things I didn't. For instance, it has an extremely intimidating look to it, and it would probably make an excellent camping blade, but I didn't like the fact that the blade was made with a standard 440 stainless steel or that it had a partial tang. Either way, I tested it out on video to see how it held up, so be sure to watch the video if you would like to see how it did.
