It is made from a solid piece of 3CR13 stainless steel reaching from the pointed tip down through the handle, making it full tang and extremely durable. The blade isn't going to go one direction while the handle goes somewhere else, as this steel is going to keep them together no matter what. The 13-inch sharpened edge is substantial, and curves back at the tip just enough to add a few more inches to the cutting edge of this bolo knife. The fact that the steel does not taper down to a point gives this parang a wide blade with a pointed chisel tip, perfect through slicing through anything in your path.
When not in use, you can sling this hunting machete in the nylon carrying sheath, which comes with an adjustable shoulder strap.
