The tassels also give each throwing needle better aerodynamics so that you can get more accurate hits with every throw.
This set of spiked throwers comes with 5 needle-tip spikes that all fit into the included arm strap. Each spike measures about 5.5 inches long and has a weight of about 0.7 ounces, so you'll have to add some velocity to make them fly. They are crafted with black-coated 3CR13 stainless steel so they are tough, if not tougher, than nails. The art of the throwing spike was developed and perfected by ninjas of feudal Japan, because they made everything into a throwing weapon. The bright red tassels have both ornamental and practical function. The flowing stands of wound nylon thread keep the back end of the spike from rotating forward, as it captures air to create drag.
