Each knife has a 3CR13 stainless steel blade that comes already sharp and a textured injection-molded handle. The handsaw is the longest with a 6-inch set of gnarled teeth that will slice through anything and has a perpendicular handle for convenience. The cleaver has a 5-inch blade that is rectangular and ready to chop as easily as any butcher's knife should. Next is the boning knife, with a wide belly tip and a 4-inch blade. Then you have what is called a gut hook which functions like the opposite of a potato peeler but has basically the same idea plus a 3-inch razor-sharp edge. The last cutting tool is a caper knife, which works as the scalpel of the troop, making any precision cuts that the larger blades miss.
To keep your set of field dressing knives safe and sharp, a handy knife sharpener is included in the box. Designed for straight blades (don't use on the saw), this sharpened can be pressed against a hard surface or used freehand provided you use common sense cautionary measures. Also inside the box is a glove compartment that actually has gloves in it, unlike any glove compartment in the nearest parking lot.
