These dark stonewashed tracker knives have a modified Nessmuk blade shape, from one George W. Sears at the turn of the 19th century. Just like a bowie knife is named after the man said to fashion the first version, Nessmuk blades were Mr. Sears' way of making it in the wild with only one sharpened weapon. Nessmuk was his pen name. The 6-inch extra wide blade can dig, chop, dice, slice, and puncture most anything you find on the trail. And should something find you, you'll be able to protect yourself with the fine edge and pointed tip.
Each of these survival knives is full tang with 3CR13 stainless steel that is dark gray all over, and the handle is a beautiful pakkawood that has a bright natural stain on it. Along the handle are a few stainless steel inlays with a mirrored finish, giving this naturalist's knife a more modern design. The double lanyard holes at the base of the handle goes through the steel tang and gives you a great option for hanging this knife out around the campsite.
