Each escrima of this set is crafted from a single piece of rattan, a reed that feels like wood but is much lighter. This is due to the microscopic air pockets that form when moister is dried out of the staff. The lighter weight is ideal for hand to hand engagement in arnis and kali training, as you can move the fighting sticks fast and accurately. Reaching 28 inches long and 1 inch in diameter, these bastons are ready to take and block hits until dinner time.
This pair of kali sticks has a tribal burn print along the surface of the peeled rattan. Each end also has about 1 inch of burn that can serve as a distraction that your opponent may be fooled by. Every little bit helps during competitions! This set of arnis weapons also comes with a carrying case that protects the natural material, and swings over your shoulder. The bright red trim of the bag pops out against the black woven nylon, making it easier for your tribe to spot you.
